Our History

MatMeas is the dedicated international brand of BaLab Technology Co., Ltd., a precision instrument manufacturer headquartered in China since 2013. Our measurement systems were formerly distributed internationally under the Partulab and BaLab brand names. They are now globally available, supported, and continuously upgraded under the MatMeas brand. Researchers who have encountered our instruments in academic literature under these legacy names can trust they are working with the same trusted technology, continuously evolved.

MatMeas was founded in Wuhan in 2013 and launched its international operations in 2025 from our Shenzhen International Business Headquarters, bringing precision electrical characterization solutions to research institutions worldwide. Previously known internationally as Partulab (pre-2022) and BaLab (2022–2024), MatMeas represents the next chapter of this journey under a unified global identity. MatMeas's journey began with a singular mission: to bridge technological gaps in functional materials testing—developing proprietary breakthroughs including the patented three-ring electrode method (2019) and magnetic fluid sealing technology (2021) that revolutionized high-temperature measurement accuracy.

Recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise (2016), Hubei Province Hidden Champion Cultivation Enterprise (2019), and subsequently honored as both a Wuhan SRCC (Specialized, Refined, Characteristic, Novel) Enterprise and Hubei Province Manufacturing Single-item Champion (2024), MatMeas has established undisputed domestic leadership across dielectric, piezoelectric, ferroelectric, and resistivity characterization systems.
