Testing Function
As-sintered ferroelectric ceramics possess randomly oriented spontaneous polarization domains, resulting in zero net macroscopic piezoelectric response. High-voltage oil bath poling aligns internal domains along an intense external DC electric field (up to 50 kV) under elevated temperatures (up to 180°C) within insulating dielectric oil, imparting permanent piezoelectric properties without air breakdown.
