Testing Function

Thermally Stimulated Depolarization Current (TSDC / TSC) is an ultra-sensitive macroscopic probe of microscopic dipole relaxation, charge trapping, and defection energetics in dielectric, ferroelectric, and electret materials. By polarizing specimens at elevated temperatures, freezing dipoles at cryogenic levels, and measuring released picoampere depolarization currents during linear heating, this test reveals trap energy depths, relaxation time distributions, and true pyroelectric coefficients.
